Último álbum de Nightnoise en el que participó Bill Oskay. Un disco en el que aún se notan las fuertes influencias de los primeros tiempos de Nightnoise y que luego darían paso a un sonido mucho más clásico e irlandés. Este The Parting Tide es un ejemplo perfecto entre la fusión de las nuevas músicas con los sonidos celtas.
